When you buy Pocket Caddy you get the software, an activation code and a demo course. You will naturally want to install additional courses at some stage and these can be bought from the courses page or you can map them yourself for free!
The 3D and 2D flyover of the holes allows for a better visual in advance of playing, especially if you haven’t played the course before and may not be able to see parts of the course from your position.
Pocket Caddy provides live yardages to the front, middle
and back of the green. Unlike most other GPS systems, the front
is defined as nearest point to your live position, not nearest
point to tee.
Aside from also providing middle and back of green
yardage (or meters), this is a great tool for selecting your next
club. Pocket Caddy can assist you in choosing your clubs and playing
shots by providing yardages (or meters) to hazards such as bunkers and water.
Pocket Caddy records your shots, clubs used and lie. This data will form part of the analytic Stats Viewer software .
Facilitates easy overview.
This is a complete overview of your game which includes live statistics on fairways/greens hit, putts per hole, and distances of each club. This information is accessible throughout the game and available to upload and store. This information is great for making comparisons with other days.
One of the unique features of Pocket Caddy is the ability to
map your own courses in Google Earth and upload them to your
Multi-sports GPS unit or phone.
It’s free and it’s easy! All you
have to do is trace the greens and bunkers in Google Earth.
For every course you upload you will earn one credit
which can be exchanged for a course already mapped on the
database.
See below for a guide on how to map your own golf course.
