Navigation
Satski is set to revolutionise skiing holidays. This
‘must have’ app enables you to navigate the piste and ski trails,
records your day on the slopes and speed levels all from your pocket.
Satski is a touch screen colour GPS system, which uses
‘real time’ while on the piste or ski trail to plot your routes
and guide all levels of skiers and riders around the resort,
providing an easy to use, interactive map.
Suitable for everyone, Satski enables beginner and intermediate
skiers or riders to plan a full day out on the mountain avoiding black,
diamond and runs you don’t like, enabling you to navigate with ease to
preferred restaurants and locations around the mountain all in ‘real time’.
If you are more experienced and competitive then you can plot harder
runs and measure your speed and terrain covered, while all the time
providing your statistics on speed, distance covered, altitude,
ascents and descents and much more.
Satski allows you to plot routes from point A to point B avoiding
the runs you don’t like and at the same time will provide animations of
the route you have chosen providing information such as time the route
will take, distance of the route and more.
The Satski display will show you current location on the mountain,
and live statistics. Satski also includes useful information on local
points of interest on the mountain like restaurants and lifts. Whilst
tracking ‘live’ statistics on the piste and ski trails, the Satski
receives GPS signals constantly to allow you to navigate yourself in ‘real time’.
Real Time Stats
Satski provides quick access to your running stats therefore you can
see your current speed and altitude, your distance (total and skied),
average speed (total and skied), maximum speed (during the day and last 5 minutes)
and altitude (up and down).
Tracking & storing ski data
Satski automatically stores all your data and statistics
allowing you to replay with Google 3 D on snow covered mountains
your PC and laptop when you get home.
Locate Me
If you have ever been lost in a white out you will know first hand how useful
this feature might be. If you press the Locate Me button you will be shown a red
circle highlighting exactly where you are located on the mountain.

Emergency
This feature provides crucial information for those in need of help and
assistance from rescue services. At the press of a button the Satski software
will allow you in an emergency situation to contact the local emergency services.
Satski will also provide you with your exact location co-ordinates
(longitude and latitude) which you can give to mountain rescue/piste security.
Resort Info
Satski software has resort specific information contained in the app providing
you with names, photos and telephone numbers of places of interest in each resort.
In the menu section, you will find the resort information, which includes some or
all of the following:
- Emergency services
- Doctors
- Police
- Fire services
- Tourist information
- Restaurants
- Ski hire shops
- Ski schools
- Hotel information
- Transport services information and much more...
If some of these business and services are located on the map area,
you will see small nodes on the map that you can touch to reveal information
about the business or service located at that point. For example, the majority
of nodes on the mountain map represent mountain restaurants, which have small
descriptions, a photo and contact details so you can call direct from the app
to make your reservation.
Google Earth
Your Google Earth replay is accessed via Stats Viewer and provides a 3D
history of your day. You can view your replay from a multitude of
different angles, file them and watch them for years to come. You
can even email your replay to friends and family.
